Bars & Pubs in Protaras
Locally referred to as bars, which have opening hours from early in
the morning all the way through to the very early hours of the next
morning.
Many of these pubs offer Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for people not
wishing to either go to restaurants or stay within the confinement of
their accommodation.
Each pubs/bars has its own individuality according to how it feels and more so in Protaras you'll find some named after famous TV Shows e.g. Only Fools & Horses or Friends.
There are pubs dedicated to Karaoke only, others have a couple of hours only. Bars in and around Protaras tend not to follow Ayia Napa as much especially during June, July and August where the Cypriots from Nicosia and other non-seaside towns come and join the tourists too to create an even wider multi-national culture in the area. You will find that modern Greek hits are also played during that period and you may even get Zorbas playing too.
You'll also find a larger range of live acts and shows too due to Protaras being more family orientated.
